Hi Michael. About 9 months ago or so I purchased Steinberg's "Studio Case II", a start-up package containing a limited version of Cubase and couple other enhancements. Along with that I bought an M-Audio Axiom 61. It was just the other week that I configured it to the computer and am now learning how to play piano through some teach-yourself DVD & Audio courses. I have never worked with any musical instruments before and it's fun learning to play. |

Hi Stephen, I just came across this mesage now on 12-09-2007, sorry :-) Yes it is a good way to start, I use cubase all the time, it's essential for how I record. The editing is easy too, and when you get the whole picture, it works wonderfully for creating music. Do you have enough pluginns? The waves IR reverb is wonderfull. It'is a convolution reverb. It recreates the space (room) through sampling and calculating the space with a computer. It sounds really natural. All the waves pluginns are great! have fun, All Love, Michael |
