What do people think about global warming, the long term health of our planet and how humanity should respond to these issues?
How do people view the relationship between humanity and Mother Earth? |

Hi Peter,
I think even if we were not destroying the planet we would be experiencing some form of global warming. The earth has always had these cycles ranging from hot to cold, that said I do believe we are making it worse by destroying the planet.
I'm concerned by several things-the destruction of rainforests/natural habitat for animals, pollution of the sea & land and over popualtion. I do think that Mother Earth will keep shaking us up with fires, floods, etc until people start being a lot more responsible about how they live and what they use. Do we need massive houses and gas guzzling jeeps?? In my opinion the global credit crunch is all related to this because it's changing the world, it's a form of cleansing to allow room for the new and getting rid of a lot of greed in the process.
We need to get back to living in a simlpe way-giving love, helping each other, helping those less fortunate than ourselves and stop this destruction of ourselves and our planet-but hey that's just my opinion!
Love and light.
